Cable Card Question???

Have you had any dealings with cable cards. My Sony LCD has a slot for one and I have been using it for a while. Problem is, it seems to constantly need to be reinitialized on TV startup.

Besides this taking time, it wipes out your selected channel lineup. They recently sent me a new card but it acts the same. I don’t know if it is the card or an issue with the TV. I plan to write Sony to see if they’ve heard of any issues. Have you heard of anything like this???

It sounds like an incompatibility issue that will be difficult to resolve. Since you already swapped cards, the next logical step would be to contact Sony. It may be difficult to get the issue resolved, so you may want to considering saving your time and just getting a set top box.

Has anyone been able to get FIOS to work for all subscribed channels with a STB and PC Tuner Card?
