Hello ,
Fios is avialable where I live now. My cable and phone lines are old. I've placed new cable tv,rg6, throughout the house. Now I am going to place new phone lines. Should I use cat 5e cable for all my phones, which are 3 and 1 computer, which would make 4 new lines. Or use 3 regular phone wire and 1 cat 5e for the computer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

thank-you, jjfw831

Due to the low cost of Cat5 cable, almost all phone wiring in new homes is done with Cat5. It will probably be more cost effective to buy one spool of cat5 and use it for phone lines and Ethernet wiring. Using cat5 for phone lines will not make any difference other than adding the possibility for up to five separate phone lines, and the option to use the cable for Ethernet in the future.
