I have a cable box currently connected with wiring from the back of the house to the living room and up the stairs to another TV. The FIOS salesman said they can use the same cable. How is that possible if the FIOS equipment is installed in the FRONT of the house? Am I missing something?

Every installation will vary, but Verizon will connect up to 3 tv's for free if they have an existing coax outlet. If you're existing cable runs originate at the back of the house, then the technician should be able to tap into by some means: cable through attic, through soffit, or possibly even buried along the wall of the house. They may even run new cable from the FiOS equipment to each tv without charge (assuming existing coax outlets where not usable).
Why do you assume that the FiOS equipment will be installed on the front of your house? Usually they'll install the equipment near the existing telephone entrance. These decisions can only be made by the installer on the day of installation. Usually they are lenient during installations. If you have specific requests, i.e. routing cable a more difficult way for aesthetics, than additional charges may be assessed.

I assumed it because the existing telephone entrance is in the front of the house. The cable company had their stuff running up the back of the house and into the living room, etc. I guess my point was I didn't want to run new cable. but your info WAS helpful.
