Coax to Router? Options

I currently have FIOS internet and voice service and am expecting to have the TV service installed on friday. I have the wireless D-Link router in my office connected to the OTN with CAT-5 wiring. I can extend my existing coax run from the DirecTV dish to the OTN. Do I need to get coax to the router or will it communicate with the set top box via the CAT-5 connection through the OTN?
