I have Go-Video unites that have worked fine with other cable companies and also with Direct dish they recorded all programs on what ever channel I set the box's to. BUT we just got FIOS and many times it will not record and it just says the programs are copy-protected. No matter what kind or what channel it is set to I only have a 50 50 chance of it recording the show and this has never happened with the other companies.
Tech support only said it is my recorder and that their feed has nothing to do with the problem....
Well how come it is only with their feed that I now have this problem??? they say I can rent a recorder from them for $20 a month that will record the programs all the time BUT this is not right. We were not told of this before we installed FIOS and I had asked if our recorder will work and they said yes.
also they said we can use their medea manager on the computer to save the programs and play them back and this proved to be completly incorrect....
We just got our first bill late because they had sent it to my email and I did not look for it near use the email for much and it was one big bill! so far the only good thing about FIOS is the TV pictures both standard and HD are much better the the other companies but the internet is the same as DSL.
any comments on what to do please.
