Just had Fios installed about two weeks ago, LOVE IT!!! Picture quality is far superior to Comcast, also the sound on my TV finally works. I live in a very small condo and had trouble hearing the sound through my comcast, with Verizon, I think the people at the other end of the development can hear it, should I be inclined to turn it up that far. With comcast I got terrible service, constant dropping, pixelation, etc, also my bill tripled within a year and half. I started out at the $60 intro rate for my cable/internet, then it doubled to $120 when the promotion was over, then about two months later it went up to $150!!! And no nothing was added, just the same service as I signed up for HSI and Cable with DVR and HBO(and no HD had to pay an extra $10 a month for that if I wanted it). With Verizon I get Internet/TV with HD service and DVR a massive amount of movie channels (HBO being a little high priced) and the Telephone for $10 less than I was paying Comcast…oh yeah and the promotion when I signed up was this price for 2 years, and a FREE 19″ FlatScreen LCD TV!!! (nice bonus).
Verizon came around about 4 months ago and installed the terminals for routing the Fios service into our house and from then it took quite some time to actually have the service available. But now that I’ve got it I love it!! No major problems to speak of sometimes when I try to watch a DVR’d program however it drops completely and I have to turn off the TV and start over. (kind of a pain when I am trying to do my workout) Also my other concern is this…with comcast it was very easy to hook up to record from the DVR, can’t figure it out on the verizon box, any suggestions?
