FIOS TV service is not currently available in my location yet, but I currently have a FIOS connection to my home and subscribe to their voice and internet service’s. I’m forced to use Cablevison’s service and I subscribe to their basic TV service. I have connected all four TV’s without any set top boxes for a total $50./mo taxes and receive approx 80 channels on each.
Unlike many who desire 200+ channels and HDTV service, I’m looking for a simple set up to service my needs. One master TV using one set top box.
I have three other TV’s in our den and bedrooms that are not heavily watched and prefer not to spend an additional $5.00/mo for set top boxes for each.
I noticed in this article above that you can connect additional TV’s with a limit of approx. 15 channels.
Can anyone reply to this type of connection, its setup, the quality, and if possible a general list of broadcaster’s (i.e. CBS, NBC, etc.)for the 15 channel’s?

Yes, currently FiOS TV service provides a limited set of analog channels. They are broadcast through the house on the existing or new coaxial cable distribution. You simply connect the coaxial cable to the TV's antenna/CATV input. Every and any TV can accept this connection.
The channels provided this way are the local channels. Usually this includes ABC,CBS,NBC,FOX, and PBS. The actual lineup depends on what is available in your area.
Keep in mind that the FCC is requiring ALL analog broadcasts to cease as of February 2009. After this point ALL analog TVs will require some type of box/converter, purchased or leased, to be able to view programming.

do you have to do or order anything special for these old analog TVs to work like you say above. I tried 2 different TVs and
neither of them get any channels (my rabbit ears get more channels). Only if I swap my STB with them will they get any channels.

I know they are planning to discontinue the analog broadcast of local channels to comply with FCC regulations, so maybe this is the case with new installs. They do offer the smaller DCT-700 tuner for $3.99/month. This unit picks up all channels, but does not provide an on screen guide or access to video on demand.
