Greetings,
I just joined the forum and have a question. I tried to search the topic withot success, so I apologize if this question has been asked and answered previously.
I have FIOS HD connected to my HD tv using the composite cables. I recently purchased another TV for an adjacent room. The FIOS converter box has several different output teminal choices on the back. My question: Can I hook the new tv to the box via the HDMI output and also continue to use the composite output for the original TV? I want to just turn on and tune the box to a channel and then have that signal sent to both tvs. I have contacted Verizon FIOS tech help people several times and am getting conflicting answers. Any thoughts?

Gee haven't you figured out why nobody is answering? Why don't you just place the second TV next to where the box is located and just try it before you spend the time running wires?
Is it any wonder why these forums are dead?

... agreed ... Guest (1) if you have nothing to add move on to a different forum where you actually have information to contribute otherwise, button it! ... I am having the same issue ... I just installed Fios and was told that they would likely supply (for free) a couple of basic converters to satisfy the basic channel requirement ... only problem is, they would likely only allow this as a one year promotion and as we all know, 1 year turns into 2 turns into 10 therefore ... does anyone have actual, hardcore info (preferably a link) to a site where one could obtain addtional converters for a cheap-to-reasonable price ... ebay is flooded with similar Motorola units but all of them are for Comcast and my installer said Verizon uses the same box but it has a different software setup ... is there anyone out there with actual data (and not just sarcasm or theories) ???

Regarding your original question, yes both outputs should work at the same time. Obviously the downfall is same content on both TVs and then there's the issue of controlling the set top box from the second room. For control, try the Next Generation Remote Control Extender.
