Called VZ last morning and was on the phone like forever, but finally got Home Media Multi room DVR added to my VZ account yesterday. They said thay just had to throw a switch and Bingo! it woulld all work. So I d'loaded the s/w and all, but the DVD and STB aren't on speaking terms. The STB error message says it hasn't heard a peep from the DVR and the DVR knows nothing about any multi-room features being enabled. So, neither the STB or DVR are doing what I'm paying VZ for them to do, namely letting me watch what's on the DVR via the STB. VZ hasn't called to check on things and I dread entering CS hades again just to talk to someone who'll hook me up with someone who knows nothing. Options?

When the Home Media DVR is enabled, you'll be able to select it from the menu on the QIP-6416 (DVR box). If you're not able to access that menu, try unplugging the box for a minute and restart it, and try unplugging and restarting the FiOS router. If that doesn't work then I think Verizon has not correctly activated Home Media DVR and you'll need to call them again. Next time you call them, confirm that it works while you're still on the phone with them.
